Mesoblast – the adult stem cell company

Mesoblast Limited (ACN 109 431 870) is an Australian biotechnology company committed to the rapid development and commercialisation of therapies to treat patients with bone and joint diseases. Mesoblast is developing a proprietary adult stem cell technology for the treatment of orthopaedic conditions such as bone fractures and damaged or degenerated knee cartilage and vertebral discs. These conditions affect countless numbers of patients worldwide for whom no effective therapy exists today.

Through a partnership with United States-based company Angioblast Systems, Inc., Mesoblast is also developing treatments using adult stem cells for cardiac and vascular diseases, as well as for other degenerative conditions.

Mesoblast's strategy is to maximise shareholder value through both corporate partnerships and rapid and successful completion of pre-clinical and clinical milestones required to achieve product marketing approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), and other international regulatory bodies.
